Andrew Clearwater has had 35 years, experience in the auto industry in New Zealand with the last 20 years at Mazda Motors of New Zealand Limited where he took over the role of Managing Director in 2006. Andrew is also Chairman of the Mazda Foundation, a charitable organisation that donates around $200,000 annually towards community projects.

 

 

 

David became the CEO
of the MIA in February 2013 following 20 years in Government, holding senior management positions in several Government departments, including the Ministry of Transport. In that role he was General Manager Land Transport Safety and Environment and led the interdepartmental work programme to develop the current road safety strategy Safer Journeys. He is a keen motorcyclist and is currently a Ministerial appointee to the Motorcycle Safety Advisory Council.
